Fall Color Change on Chubb River
May 9th, 2016

Fall color change over the Chubb River. A series of flights flown approximately 1 week apart during September and early October of 2013 following the same flight path over the Chubb River and up the slope of Nye Mountain south of Lake Placid, NY.  The hardwoods sandwiched between the lowland conifers along the Chubb River and upland conifers at higher elevations of Nye Mountain change color gradually showing deep reds and oranges at their peak during first days of October.
