Forested Alluvial Corridors
May 9th, 2016

Forested alluvial corridors of NY’s Adirondack Park are representative of the those found throughout the Northern Forest. This video shows the Raquette River from below the outlet of Long Lake to the confluence with the outlet of Follensby Pond, upriver from Tupper Lake. Follensby Pond was the site of the 1858 Philosophers Camp, widely believed to be the beginning of environmental conservation.
